It's a "good" time and distance.
Neither too long nor too short.
    Just about right.

Cool - looks approx 180-200km which would about a 2.5 hr ride I guess given
the windy / twisty bits and a stop in the middle.

I havent ridden this stretch before but have heard lots of good reports
    about it.

though, there's not much worth stopping for in the middle.

  6. Why would you need to stop in the middle of such a short ride anyway?

    Google Maps says 174km.

Depends how important scratching the back of your head can get to you..

Indeed - did the run this afternoon. No stop in the middle necessary (the
1/2 way house had burnt down !)

Ride distance was 176km and just cruising it took me 1 hr 45 mins (Windor to
    Singleton)

Running out of fuel is a very good excuse (if not the only sheepish
excuse required) for stopping in the middle. Getting going again may
    take more time.
