    I'm going by cage.[1]

    A truly awful admission to have to make I know but the bike really needs
    a bit of investigation done on the steering and it won't get done
    beforehand.

    I do have an additional excuse as I want to take me handicam and the
    tripod that is free for anyone to borrow at any time and work on this
    holding a camera and still being a part of the party bit.[1] I am sure
    it is achievable.

    I'll be taking me gear though, just in case Rog takes the matchless 2
    wheels and in hopeful expectation of Platy turning up on an equally
    matchless three.

    [1] Thinking about it I could maybe play a part in the underground
    railway. I have loads of volume to spare.

    I'll be going up from Maidenhead. If it's sunny (or, at least, not
    pissing down), I'll probably avoid the M1 and take the more scenic
    route as per EOSM with Wik and Porl last year.

    Good, I'll come via Maidenhead then.

    What was the scenic route as a matter of interest?

    I don't think I'm going as Saturday is 'first service' day and SUnday is
    occupied with something else.

    Oh well, on the positive side after the first service I shall at least be
    able to thrash it a bit more guilt-free.

    A404 to High Wycombe
    A4010 to Aylesbury
    A413 and A43 to Towcester
    A5 to Hinckley (long and dull, but better than the M1)
    A447, A511, B587 (signs for Melbourne and Derby)
    A50, A38, and then following signs to Heddleston and Hulland

    We only got lost once.

    Hmm, the time I went to the EOSM, it went something like:

    A413 to Buckingham;
    A422 to Banbury;
    A423 to Coventry;
    B4098 and then A51 to Tamworth;
    A513;
    A515 to Ashbourne, then A517.

    It avoided the very dull A5.

    Or to speed it up a tad, stay on the A422 to Stratford, jump on the
    M40/M42 for 25 odd miles to J9 (gets the busy B'Ham/Coventry bit out of
    the way), and A446, then A38 to Lichfield and then pick up the A515 to
    Ashbourne.

    Works for me, I'm North Hampshire on the M3 so i'll prolly come cross
    conuntry via Sandhurst to Maidenhead. Unless it's persisting down ...
    ;-)

    Cheers,

    I'll be going via Hexton, Bosworth Field and Repton.

    Returning via Newark, Moulton, Gretton and Old Warden.

    Usual reason.
