I've been thinking about getting some of these Draggin jeans to ride in now
that the weather is warmer. My local dealer has Triumph branded jeans which
he says are similar and reinforced on the arse and knees with Keprotec[1].
They look nice and they are the same price as Draggin jeans.

Anyone use either of these and can recommend/warn against?

FWIW, I *do* understand that they are not as protective as CE-approved
armour, but they must surely be better than plain denim?

[1] The word Kevlar was mentioned, but not in the sense of "this is made of
    Kevlar", which made me wonder.

A mate of mine tried them. Ended up with what he termed "Baboons Arse",
    although I never looked.

I've been thinking about getting some of these Draggin jeans to ride in
Being a sweaty bastard I can't bear to wear leathers as soon as the temp
gets above about 12c so I bought a pair of Gialli jeans, they can take body
armour at the knees and have kevlar inserts at the arse and hips. They look
just like an ordinary pair of black jeans if a little snug fitting. Been
using them for a couple of years now and can't say I have noticed any sweaty
arse problems. Look okay in the office. Though to be honest, more often than
not I will put a pair of combats over a normal pair of jeans, seems a bit
cooler and I still feel protected to some degree.

I also bought the matching jacket last year but not quite so pleased with
that, a bit short in the body and the zip broke the first summer (it was
    replaced FOC).

I have a pair of HG goretex voyager trousers, with the linings out and the
air vents open they are cooler and lighter to wear than denim, more crash
resistant I guess and have hipprotec armour in the knees and hips.
Waterproof too. Bit expensive at around the £200 mark though but they seem
    to be lasting well.

And by me - they're good and comfy, fit well and the kevlar weave
stuff inside is fairly convincing looking.

    those look good actually.

Did you buy them from the web, unseen, or did you manage to try a pair
    on before buying?

5'10" - it's your cuban heels that confuse you.

    I'm taller than I look.

On a vaguely related note, I was ID'ed in Sainsburys the other day
buying a few bottles of wine. The checkout girl "wasn't sure whether I
was 21 or 22", so played safe and checked anyway.

Bless. First time that's happened in 11 years.

"short for your height" as my granny would have put it.
I've not been IDed for longer than I can remember.
