Right. Hardly Ableson Advice Needed

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Wicked Uncle Nigel, May 11, 2006.

  1. So it looks like this year's post-conference entertainment will be
riding a rented Hardly up Mount Palomar with some like-minded
    individuals.

    So: V-Rod or Ueber-Gay-Electra-Glide?

    Vote.... NOW!

    V-Rod's are chickwheels.

FXDX Superglide Sport is the chariot of choice for the discerning rider
after a bit of go. Get one with the Stage III Creamin' Eagle 1900cc kit
    if you can.

If the choice is merely Gay-rod or FLHTCUI, I'd go for the Glide as the
'Rod is one of the few bikes that's made me want to get off and start
    walking.

Agreed. The Bling-Captain should be able to chuck a mere Harley around with
    some verve.

The V-Rod's a tarts bike and for posers. It's gotta be the UGEG

From a pratical viewpoint, I think you'll get pissed off with the
exhaust trying to burn your leg after a while.

Plus if it rains, you'll need Hardly waterproofs which have a piece of
leather protection sewn onto them, to stop the waterproofs from melting
    on said exhaust.

Haven't known of a rod shedding any engine internals in my manor. Ever!.
Known a good few to be thrown up the road, mind, and thus shedding the
footpegs and requiring new frames at the expense if the Insco

Noise department seems to be extremely reliable according to the local HD
    stealerships.

Problem with the wing though is that you can't hear the radio/cd when it's
playing. Well you can't on my mates new acquisition. The audio setup is real
    gash!
