  1. The following info was lifted from the adventure riders forum:

Peter "Mr Smith" columnist from Two Wheels passed away.
    Funeral details are:

    Date; Wednesday 23rd December 2009

    Time; 1.30 pm

    Place; Hillside Chapel,
    Palmdale Rd
    Palmdale
(on the Central Coast, just off the F3 Freeway near Ourimbah)

NOTE: These arrangements are subject to the Coroner releasing Smithy's body
on Monday. Although at this stage it seems that there are no problems

I have not meant in any way to miss any of his friends so, please feel free
to pass this email on to any and all interested people.

The send off, although, at the Chapel at Palmdale will be a casual affair.
    Please dress casual and comfortable.

Anyone wishing to get up and say a few words about Smithy will be more than
welcome. Please let me know by tomorrow, Sunday night.

Once I receive the numbers of those who wish to talk I will be able to
allocate a time value to any banter / chat / waffling or kind words.

There will be a get together at Club Tuggerah immediately after the send
off. It is on the corner of Wyong Rd and Bryant Rd, Tuggerah. It's only
    about 2 kays from Palmdale.

It's easy to find and directions will be available on the day.

He was an interesting character (and an interesting writer) the
motorcycle magazine scene will be lesser for his loss.

DAMN! If ever a man deserved his rest in peace it's Smith but the
biking world sure became a hollower place that day.
(And that will make Two-Wheels 25% quicker to read for me now too!)
