Road and Bike Review

D350 Antalya - Fethiye and D400 Fethiye to Antalya.

D400 Is the mountain road and is certainly interesting on a bike. The
surface is mostly good as this is the major road for transporting stuff
such as tourists. It is however quiet early in the morning. It has twisty
sections applenty and some outstandingviews.

D350 ..... Ooooooh! How shall I enjoy thee? Let me count the ways. This
road has to be absolutely one of the most gorgeous roads in the history
of mankind. The best bit is the section between KaÅŸ and Finike with
curves that come one after the other in a frenzy of zig zag left right
leany action. Upright is a fleeting moment between leans. I came down
this bad boy on Sunday. It was marred only by some retard deciding to
resurface the stretch between The island near BoldaÄŸ and Finike.
Resurfacing consists of chucking hot tar over the road surface followed
by chucking loose gravel over the top of it and using a process known
only as hope to make the two adhere to each other. This method obviously
has drawbacks for two wheeled transport.

Bike review. XT 660
Small entertaining but more suited for city use of light country use.
Vibration white arse is a problem. The bars seem to be vibe free though.
The brakes leave something to be desired. Whether this is due to being a
rental or is normal for the breed I have no idea. Deals well with
travelling sideways on loose gravel without going off cliffs.

I thought the Antalya to Fethiye and then Fethiye to Antalya might have
given it away a bit. But ...

Antalya is where I'm at. Hope Dalyan is treating you nicely.

I know. Its all a bit summer only though. Would imagine its a bit of a
graveyard in winter.

5ish. Had a nice lunch in KaÅŸ watching the tourists point cameras at a
rather disdainful pelican. Trundled the rest slowlyish looking at the
view.

 

unfortunately or fortunately not. It's a bike. Which is nice. However
even second hand they come to much money. And it's just too
uncomfortable over distance. I never ever thought I would say a ZX7R is
comfortable but.....

 

Get a job, you lazy ****.
