Road Conditions

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Lone Haranguer, Feb 1, 2011.

  1. Does anyone have any information on whether the roads between Ilford and
Rylstone and between Rylstone and Mudgee are sealed?

    Thanks in advance.

All sealed. Do yourself a favour and find out how to use street view in
google maps. A valuable route planning aid.

  5. Wish Google was around when I was a lad
Would have been invaluable in planning a root for Saturday night

Do not despair. It does "business" searches. I;m sure you could find
    something suitable.

Google streetview can be out of date. They may have ripped the tar up
to plug state budget holes elsewhere.

Apart from that..a bumpy piece of shite in places (towards Mudgee) but
on the whole a good root.

    You are right
Google is about 2 or 3 years behind with their maps

In the wake of all these floods, that is a possibility, but probably not
    in that region.

I'll be riding through that area later this week, but not through
Orange. It doesn't appear to be on the way from Melbourne to anywhere.

  13. Oh damn Nev,
you want to hang around for a couple of weeks ?
I am going to Canberra then Orange and on to Brisbane at the end of the
    month
and it would be so much fun to be riding with you
