Rossi back in a Ferrari

    MotoGP Champion Valentino Rossi is back behind the wheel of an F2004 again this week in what is a three-day test for the Italian.

    Rossi was in action for the team at Fiorano on Wednesday and then moved to Mugello for the final two days of his test.

    While Ferrari has yet to comment on the test, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Rossi lapped around two seconds off Michael
    Schumacher's best time in what is his third test with the team.

    Ferrari has previously stated that they wish to run Rossi every three or four weeks through the 2006 season in order to gauge
    whether he is a potential candidate for a race seat or not in 2007 and beyond.
