Well after Loz giving the Michelin Pilot Power 2's a recommendation I did a bit of googling and they seem to be right up there on grip and mileage. A trip over to Leeds Tyres this afternoon saw a pair fitted to the ST. They are only slightly worn in but a) they grip b) they quicken up the steering nicely over the 020's. They certainly feel quite soft on the edges when warm. Time will tell. I had a good look at the new Avon Storm ST. They have the widest deepest tread pattern I've ever seen on a tyre, car or bike. It's difficult to believe they won't squirm slightly at low speeds and that getting lots of power down will not rip the edge of the tread. This seemed to be the symptom Bonners got with the Azaro with a less pronounced tread cut. OTOH the tread was a good 10mm thick so on a less powerful or gently ridden bike they should last a loooong time.
