    BGN says...
020s are a dual compound tyre with harder wearing rubber in the centre,
they are also built for the heavier bike, whereas BT45s are better
suited to 400s and 500s. A Bandit 600 is a little heavy for BT45s and
I'd have thought tyre wear would be higher as a result.

Bridgestone don't list BT45s as a recommended tyre fitment to the Bandit
600, as Ginge pointed out. They're the people who know what they're on
    about, listen to them.

For the deal I got, the choice was blue or silver (06 models). The
black ones (and red ones) are '07 models only and therefore more
    expensive.

On Yer Triumph in Aylesbury[1] were running a black 1050 Sprint ST as a
demo bike. It might be worth asking if you can be put at top of the list
to buy that when it comes on the market.

[1] I was in there a couple of weeks ago.

    The best she found was £6800 for a red '06 and 6995 for a blue '06. I
think 8K was the mark for a black '07.

Let me know if you think there's a deal to be had at your favoured
retailer because it may get me out of fixing her bloody Hornet.

£6700 for a blue or silver '06 (although I think I got the last silver
    one from stock).

hmm - BT45s are the recommended fitment for my BMW R65LS, and it's no
light-weight. I guess this could be due to a limitation in the sizes
of tyres that will fit it.

Screws, nuts and bolts are available even down there in Kent y'know. You
don't HAVE to ride nutless for months.
