    Hi all

Just joined the list, wondering if anyone here is from SA and if there are
any riding clubs looking for new members. Do a lot of solo riding (Live in
Sellicks) but would like to ride with others. I am in god's own riding
heaven here, ride my CBR1000F everyday (no cage) and looking for other like
    minded riders.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Al

    Alan,

Head to http://www.cruzn.net.au/ - email webmaster (Callan) and he'll
add you to the mailing list - friendly bunch of guys, pretty quiet in
cold/wet weather though. Regular weekend rides in summer through
hills/Strath/etc and also Friday nights up and down Eagle on the Hill.

    Say hello from me...

    Stefan (ex CBR1000F owner!)

    Thanks Stef

Why did you let go of the CBR? I am off to Central Vic this weekend, coupla
days there, coupla days back, give the old girl a proper run

Did you find the bike a bit buzzzy at the handlebars? I find it tends to
put my hands to sleep. Thank god for the cruise control!

    Cheers

  4. If you are near Maldon on saturday then I recommend the Motorcyclists
Emporium, a working restoration shop for old bikes which has a smallish but
excellent selection of both restored and unrestored motorcycles and
memorabilia on display. Entry to the display by throwing a gold coin in the
thingy near the front of the shop.

Me to I lurk about here, SA ppl are too slack to organise a group ride I
    assume.

The only group ride I have seen here is when someone like zebee comes over.

love to go for a ride sometime though.

Noone is going to organise group rides if everyone else is lurking.

I had no trouble finding a group to ride with last time I was in South
Australia.. lets see.. there was me, Steve O. also from Melbourne, BTH from
Canberra and BigIain from Sydney. Actually we spent most of the time drinking
in a bar in Port Augusta, ten pin bowling in Woomera and watching BTH fix his
bike on the side of the road in between :/

    So organise it.

You announce it here a couple of times, and see who says OK and who
    turns up.

That's how these things work you know....

    Your point being? ;-)

Poor Vicky wasn't running too well by the time I got home, but she
    *did* get me there!

thanks Zebee, I have announced a couple of rides, no one replied (years ago)
    So I gave up
Guess I haven't got the Zebee charisma
or maybe I gave up to easy.

    but it doesn't mean I don't ride!

didn't mean to offend anyone btw, just stir up the Adelaide riders

I just assume most rides here in Adelaide are organised through clubs and
    whatnot.

everyone I have meet just give me a blank look when I mention ausmoto so I
don't talk about it much anymore, I guess it will take a few (lot) more
years for Adelaide to catch up :)

  12. Its OK, Hammo, a bit of elective surgery, and you _can_ be a "top
    bloke like Zebee!"

  13. Yeah, well with her being a nurse and all, I suspect she could do
it for you on the cheap with a kitchen knife... (in fact if you
can find your own schoolgirl, she might even do it for free!)

big (then we'd have to call you Hammo Bobbitt...)

When I first met Katho, she had a meat cleaver in one hand
and half a sheep in the other.

"Come in", she says, "Hammo's not here. I hope you like meat."

  17. I think that depends on whether you want to keep the schoolgirl
    or the missus...

  18. Well, since we're telling campfire stories...

The first time I met Hammo, he groped Leddis butt before
introducing himself, then wouldn't tell her who he was for about
    half an hour!

    :)

That was the same night I met Skroc (who I don't _think_ groped
    Leddi...)

    Hello all,

Just announce a meet and do it. who ever turns up, turns up. If no one
turns up, well, go it alone ;). I blat down to Litchfield park all by
my lonesome sometimes (~250k round trip) ;). Being a nigel isn't too bad ;).

I'll be moving down to Adelaide at the start of December. I'll be
staying in birdwood (twistie roads- yummy!) for a while until i get my
shit together and move into the city.

I shall certainly be posting on here when i'm going on my rides.
I'm looking forward to the rides around the hills. They certainly
shit over anything we have up here.. probably the closest thing is
sections of the Litchfield park road and Kakaku h'way.

BTW, who is a good Suzuki dealership in MAdelaide ?. Are there
any workshops to avoid ? ;).
