Sad day at qld raceway...

    Im saddened to report this

    "that Kirk McCarthy has passed away while undergoing surgery in Brisbane
    following an accident at Queensland Raceway today during the sixth round of
    the Australian Superbike Championship. Kirk has been part of the woodwork
    in Australian road racing for more years than most of us can remember. He
    was extremely well liked and will be sorely missed by everyone who had the
    pleasure of knowing him. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends,
    of which he had many"

    Shocking how many riders have died in the last few years of Aus
    superbikes/supersport.
