saddlebag recommendations

Any recommendations on non-leather saddlebags to suit an XVS1300? I'd
prefer something that can be secured easily to the bike, but still be
easy to remove when needed, and not cost the earth. They need to be
fairly rigid internally, and if they were big enough to fully take my
briefcase then that would be good - although I'm happy if it at least
holds the briefcase securely enough to get me to work and back, even if
it sticks out a bit. Function is my major concern, but it does still
    need to look good.

I've found a number of suitable options on eBay in the US (around $200
delivered), but I'd prefer to deal with a local business if at all possible.

Man; with such specific requirements I reckon $200 is a friggin' BARGAIN!
(My 20yo BMW panniers cost me $400)
I feel rigid-internally just thinking about it!

$200 isn't my limit, it's just what the eBay ones are going for.

They would have been absolutely perfect (how's that for a good example
of a redundant adjective?) for the CBR600, but yes, I think they might
be a bit out of place on the cruiser.

It seems my lovely employer managed to get things right in the end (I
must have got the one person in Employee Services who actually cares
about doing his job properly!), so all I need now is for my credit union
to not change their mind and it's a done deal! woohoo! Still going to be
a week to sort out the paperwork (no local branch), but that's alright.

The latest issue of Australian Road Rider has a good spread on the
    Andystrapz bags, but no pricing.
They look OK for removable bags.
