You know, I think this is the most impressive result I've ever achieved
from a "Taunt the looney christian" post!

I'm not arguing that they are variable, I'm arguing that a group of
people are misusing the terms, against the strict definitions as they've
stood for a very long time.

    Isn't that a tautology?

    No!

    Dragons, Fairies and Trolls exist

(Komodos are interesting, fairies should be granted the right to marry
    and Trolls shouldn't be fed).

Yet again I'm uncomfortable with the term. "Apatheist" infers laziness
    rather than total-disregard.
Damn; why have the Theists made religion so hard for non-participants...?

Yep; that's exactly how I heard it too but it wasn't Hawkins (not a very
    accomplished raconteur).
I think it was someone on Letterman or The Daily Show and they were
referencing Hawkins (while I assumed they were being original).

Not 'my' creator, but extra universal in origin (and not the creator of
    the cosmic all).

Actually I don't accept that as an absurdity, and I don't find the
question of the location and origins of a postulated 'creator' to be
insurmountable obstacles. Nor do I insist that the concept of a
sentient creator is even needed or required, it may be a non sentient
    creator and far from supreme.

Your term 'agent' implies acting for another being and I don't think my
argument requires that although it doesn't exclude it.
I accept the possibility that forms (sentient or otherwise) exist that I
might not recognize as life or being (depending upon how one defines life).

If moores law holds for another few centuries we might find out :)

Unless something dramatic happens to stop me then yes... you?

In February 1997 Preskill offered a bet to Hawking and Thorne that:

"When an initial pure quantum state undergoes gravitational collapse to
form a black hole, the final state at the end of black hole evaporation
will always be a pure quantum state."

Hawking and Thorne accepted the bet. The wager is:

"The loser(s) will reward the winner(s) with an encyclopedia of the
winner's choice, from which information can be recovered at will."

But an agnostic would not say that fairies, hobgoblins, trolls, and/or
dragons exist or do not exist. An agnotic has no opinion on the
matter. Just like any other fairy, afraid to have an opinion. You're
    just full of shit Gerry.
