Same as it ever was ...

Decided to fit the power cable for the Zumo to the new addition this
    afternoon.

In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "How hard can it be?".

Panel removal firstly: left glove box, fairing trim, engine cover side
    panel and seat.

Routing the wire was a right git, there's even less space with that
big ali beam frame in the way, plus I wanted to do it *once*, and for
    it to look neat.

Got there in the end, and fixed the ends to the accessory terminals in
    the fusebox[1].

Routed the other end out of the slot for the intercom cable (now
hidden away), and refitted the panels.

All much easier to it than the 15 - much use made of those panel clips
    with the push-pin centres.

Fitted the Ram arm, added WUN magic screw, secured the cable and all
    systems are go.

I was going to give it a test run, but it was drizzling.

I think the clutch might need bleeding at the 600 mile service - it
sounds like it's got air in, and the slave cylinder actuation is
    audible with the engine off.

[1] 28 fuses - with six additional empty slots.

  2. And oi. Excellent stuff.

Dodger, I think there's an adjuster for the m/cylinder somewhere near
    the headstock.

The difference this time is that fixing will involve pointing, and
    telling.

Doesn't the 1800 have a pre-connected accessories power cable already
available under the left fairing pocket?

It does, ending in a fancy red connector block.

It is hidden in a sleeve with the Aux Stereo input connector, and
wasn't apparent when I started off.

I assumed the connector was designed to fit something else, so wasn't
    minded to snip it off.

It's perfectly rideable - just drags a bit when cold.

Talking of cold - I'm now convinced that heated seats are no gimmick.
    Fool me once ... ;-)
