    Anyone got one yet?

PC Pro gave it a great review. It looks Bob On.

Have a couple of the Eee 1000 XP's which are fantastic and amazing for
the money. The NC10 seems to be even cheaper at Dabs right now. I was
about to order a couple more Eee's but I'm very tempted to have 1 black
and 1 white Samsung and forward order the gorgeous blue model due in
    December.

Can't get my head round a netbook with a an electromechanical hard drive.
Nor crippling its modest performance with bloat-ware. Seems to miss the
point. At that price and for a hard-drive model I'd get a 15" lappy.
Falls between two stools IMO. eee 901 or aspire one 110 or me!

Well their flat screen TV's seem pretty good. Yourpost came two late, I
ordered two, if it doesn't live up I can send them back. Review to follow!

They look good. I have an ancient Samsung microwave oven that is still
going after nearly 25 years. The lad's Samsung phone also seems pretty
    OK so far.

I await your review with interest.

Their products are fine until they go wrong and you need to deal with
their customer service dept, AKA "VOC" (voice of the customer).

The utterest shower of cunts I have ever had to deal with, hence I will
never, ever buy their products ever again lest I have to deal with the
    useless shits.

    So, so ?

    Mine arrived today. V. impressed.
Poorest feature is the 'button' bar on the touchpad.
The wifi seems tp get better signal strength than my old Sony PCMIA
card on the Vaio in similar locations oddly.
Haven't really explored battery life in anger yet, but already better
    than the Vaio.
Doesn't come with XVid codecs, but easily sorted.
Bluetooth even works a treat with my pikey old T68i.
Drives the cheapo VGA to Composite Video TV adapter well. Streaming a
SO TV program from my server upstairs as I type this.

    A machine for all seasons.

As to Linux, I need to be able to maintain VFP 9 for WINDOWS apps on
    it , so nurrr!
If I want to play L with it that I will just plug Puppy on a Stick in.

Well I like them so far. The button bar and the touchpad are the
weakest spot but we use wireless mice anyway. The keyboard is nicer to
use than the Eee PC1000. Hard to put a card between them but the Asus
seems to boot and run a tad quicker, the Samsung looks and feels nicer.
    So I'd buy on price.

Well after a bit more time and use the Asus comes out top.
OK the Samsung keyboard and screen are better. The Asus XP instal just
runs more sweetly though and it has a *much* better touchpad. The Asus
finish seems more durable and the battery life is better AFAICT.

Trouble is the success has gone to their heads. Hard to get a PC1000 and
    the prices are well up.

Oh well. I am still pretty happy with mine. Runs XBMC well and the
wireless is definitely better for reception than my old Sony for some
    reason.

The touchpad is naff, but most of the time I use a wireless mouse with
    it anyway.

The Vodafone USB mobile broadband thingy has arrived and works well with
it. Interestingly I only get a GPRS connection here (move to a less
pikey area). I'll see what I get at 'the chateau'.

I am using one and with an Orange 3G modem and external mouse, and like
it, amazing value for money. The Asus PC1000, despite the published
benchmarks, runs a little bit faster and the XP install seems more
"reliable" but they seem to have shot over £300, if you can find one.
