A lot depends on personal preferences but are you actually going to
use the top speed often for your typical journey. If you are filtering
through crap traffic in a 30mph zone then agility will trump top speed
every time. OTOH if you have some fast parts in the journey you will
want to keep up with the traffic.

I spent a couple of hours pruning stuff/hedge trimming/lopping off
branches of a tree I'm aiming to get rid off. Fine. Picking up all the
stuff, not fine at all - a pain in the, well, back.

Wear the suit. Ride a Harley. It's what they do in Geneva, complete with
silly helmet and arms and legs at full stretch. It's a totally bizarre
look, but someone must like it, since so many do it.

I've been mostly doing that this week every evening after work. I've
got a mini wood chipper. Fun :)

Your last sentence is the reason why I want something reasonably
    speedy.

Heh, one of my colleagues used to wear casual gear that would easily
cost over £1000 per set up. He couldn't figure out why it didn't go
down well with customers/partners when his clothes were that
    expensive.

  12. Hmm... a piece of shrapnel or stray round in the right place might have
    some interesting results.
    "Take cover, PFC Bozon!"
"I can't Sir, the suit won't let me! Ow, ow ow, heeeeuuulp!"

I was thinking of something in the 250cc range as they tend to be
bigger (duh!) and will do comfortably 130kph.

Yamaha Xmax 250 allows to store two full face helmets under the seat. Add a
top-case and the storage capacity is Goldwinesque.

It can cruise constantly at 120km/h and reach 140km/h on demand. Little help
from gravity downhill allows ton plusing. And can confortably do 600km and
    800km in a day (I tried all what I say ;-)

Handling is above average for scooters, no flat feet surface means more
space for frame bars which makes a stiffer bike. Front fork could be more
rigid, which is noticeable when going round a curvone at 140km/h riding two
up, but I guess it was not its intended mission :)

Fuel economy for a mix of 60% mad city riding and 40% relaxed road riding is
4.15 litre 95 fuel per 100km, whatever it is in mpg.

Yes, I love it and wouldn't mind joining this NG list of weirdo bikes
    appologists with Lozzo :)
