What's the going rate for a secondhand working one?

    Anyone have one for sale?

Not a clue. I just want to remark that I saw a post from Anthony
below and it completely threw me. I thought he was posting
    something sensible for a moment.

Usually about 30 quid for the oiler, brackets and pipework. I'd advise
you get a touring kit resevoir if it can be fitted to the bike, they
cost about an extra 20 quid secondhand. Unfortunately I don't have any
    spare ones kicking around

I dunno if it be worth getting one for my Z. I try to keep the chain
greased up, but do occasionally forget.

I think it's the cleaning aspect of the light oil that makes the Scottoiler
so effective. Bits of dirt are flung off onto your number plate and tyre
sidewall. The sticky goo & grease types of chainlube just encourage a build
up of filth that can then do its best to work its way behind the seals.

I adjusted my Versys chain for the first time at 9,000 miles[1]. I just
got back from a 3500 mile trip roiund Europe and apart from
occasionally checking the adjustment with the toe of my boot I never
even had to think about the chain - it still doesn't need touching
either. The Scottoiler was the first thing I fitted to the bike when it
    was delivered.

    Scottoilers rock

[1] I had done it at 4,000 but put it back to where it was because
1/6th of a turn of the adjusters was too much.

Adjust it properly and you don't even notice any significant fling on
the tyre. I do get a bit of oil on the number plate, but it's a lot
less than when I was using spray lubes.

I have the bottle you put the fluid in, the pipe which goes to the
chain, the pipe which goes up under the seat somewhere, the mounting
brackets, some plastic parts the downward pipe goes in, some other
plastic parts, the funny bracket whcich goes at the bottom to guide the
    pipe and a sticker.

I dont have a T-piece or the smaller dia pipe which fits in the
downward pipe to point to the chain.

Yours for £25 inc postage to the UK.
