    From the radio times site
"Robert Llewellyn and Lisa Rogers introduce the series in which two teams
must create a piece of machinery using junk from a scrapyard. A team of
Sheffield teddy boys take on the Bucks bus mechanics in a quest to build an
    amphibious motorcycle."

    Could be interesting.

Gotta love the Kawasinki's slalom run; possibly the only bike/rider
combination not worthy of an FTB#.

Maybe it's just me, but a few things about the way in which the
programme format has developed have started to grate.

Like, WTF have they started showing a clip of the completed machines at
the very start of the programme? It kinda spoils the surprise at the
    end.

Also, the narrative has an irritating habit of only raising concern
about potential design faults that ultimately end up causing a problem.
So from the moment the VO says "But will the red team's Range Rover
based motorised chocolate grater really cope with the plunge through
the steaming acid bath?", you know they're utterly fucked and there
will be time for a smug "I told you so" moment when the whole thing
    comes unstuck at the end.

Don't get me wrong, Lisa Rogers is cute as a button but bring back
Cathy Rogers and her mad wardrobe.

They did this to Robot Wars as well , showing the highlights from the
battles during the intro and rendering the rest of the program even more
    pointless than normal.
Ah , I've not caught enough of them lately to notice that.

Not really... My mate Owen, bespectacled guy with multiple
ear-piercings working with Jason and some mates, all from a
High-Wycombe based bus company, was really jaded by the end of the
days filming. They weren't allowed to use their own design, the whole
deal is a set-up. You must use the programmes design no matter how
pants you think it is, Jason apparantly spent an hour or so arguing
this out with the producer... Various useful bits, like working
motors/engines etc., are left in easy to find locations, follow the
camera-crew...A loose script is suggested, no, really it would be
better if you said this, "...
A shame really, I used to enjoy it, now the magic has gone...
Jason, Owen and Co. thought their design was a looser from the off...
They were not allowed to submit their own design, which they thought
    would have won...
    TV... its all Hollywood y'know.....
