    It'll tend to run better if you put a big capacitor across
    the battery terminals ... smooths out the electrickery, you
    know. I've got a pile of surplus ones around here somewhere
    if you need one. But that won't run your lights!
    You'll need, ummm, 7ish volts to actually charge a 6V battery.

    (I think Jaycar sell a mini 6V charger, too ...)

    if its showing 2 volts then it farked

    it should be showing at least 5 if it was even close to living
