Secure and quick deliveries

Is there a provider of choice to get a parcel sent (UK to UK) and signed
for, next day delivery and collected from source.

I seem to remember DHL was frowned on.

They are all much of a much these days - i.e. pretty shit.

TNT will more than likely do what you want and in my experience, less
likely to **** around a 'one off' customer than say, UPS/DHL/FEDEX.

Depending on the distance, you could also consider a courier/manwivavan
service, but they're unlikely to be cheap, unless they are already
heading in the same general direction.

I've used http://www.parcel2ship.co.uk/, but they just bulk buy from DHL
or Parcelforce. No problems with the half dozen or so times I've used
each, including one parcel to The Netherlands.

Also used http://www.p4d.co.uk/ on several occasions, who are also
pretty reasonable for Europe

 

I've used them several times. Good, in my experience.

A friend recommends parcelmonkey.co.uk but I haven't tried them yet.

 

Translation:

"We don't want the hassle of dealing with low volume whiney-****
customers, I mean, we can't even get it right with our high volume
contract customers, so let's face it, you're better off going
elsewhere anyway."

 

Hmmm...these don't bode well for my general and totally irrational
"rule" of never using, where possible, any company that has a number in
its name.
