Occasionally, but I saw him and the rest of the Honeydrippers[1] in the
    Beaufort Arms[0] in Monmouth mostly.

    [0] now flats & shops
[1] Robbie Blunt, Paul Martinez[2] & Richie Hayward of Little Feat
[2] still lives in Monmouth, had a pint with him in the Robin Hood a couple
of weeks ago. Sadly, doesn't play much as he has pretty bad arthritis in
    his hands.

I doubt it. Nothing that isn't produced by Simon Cowell for most of
    this lot.

Not surprising when you consider that they were over-rated shite.

Now drinks in The Queens Head in Wolverley Nr Kidderminster or The
Bathams Pub known as "The Steps" in Kinver.

Still a bit of a knob but at least when he brings Alison Krauss with
him the quality of the scenery improves. He did have an impromptu jam
with Seasick Steve a couple of months ago. The Apprentice was in the
    pub at the time.

He was banned from the Queens Head for a while coz he was always
accepting drinks off people and never bought any.. according to the
    barmaid.

he was like that in Monmouth - he never stood me a pint when I kicked his
ass on the pool table either

The rest of the Honeydrippers were a great bunch. RB was a gent and his
lovely Texan wife taught me all about tequila. RH was bonkers and had a
madder, illegal alien, girlfriend. If they weren't beating shit out of each
other then RH would be picking fights with whoever looked at him a bit
    funny.

Monmouth was a great place for the aspiring groupie in the 70s & 80s, what
with Rockfield on the outskirts of the town. Apparently the studio is still
quite busy with reasonably well known artists, but few go into town for
    their entertainment nowadays.

Plant is there in early January with Miss Krauss

Spent some time at Rockfield when I was a roadie, nobody famous. No
doubt Mr plant will be doing his annual christmas charity busk in
    Kidderminster again.
Met the Honeydrippers several times nice blokes.

Mike Sanchez played with them for a while along with Andy Sylvester as
well both were in the Big Time Playboys at the time.

Passed thro Monmouth earlier this week on my way to and from Cardiff.

Its a semi regular trip next time I do it I'll give you a shout see if
you are up for a pint.

It's more they've been hyped, praised and lauded as the second coming so
when you actually listen to them it's all a bit disappointing. Just like
    Kylie.

So there you have it, Robert Plant is as big a let down as Kylie Minogue.

    FACT!

You should have got in there earlier, I liked Kylie Minogue before she
    was hyped.

Never fancied Robert Plant but I have listened to some of his music and
    enjoyed it.
