    Hi all,
Other than ebay and the local Trading post, anyone had any success listing
with an online type forum? For example BikePoint? Anyone with any strong
views on which is a better place to sell?
This is what I'm trying to sell...

    Thanks for any help,
    Regards

    A 21-year-old Husqvarna dirty-bike?

An esoteric bit of kit like that, I wouldn't even_try_selling via the
usual channels, especially as your usual dirt monkey will have a mate
who's blown up his '87 model Husky and found out the hard way the
factory no longer make parts for them (good move on your part mentioning
Husky Parts; not many people know about them). Letting your local
vintage mx association/club know you have it in the shed and letting the
jungle drums do their stuff would probably be the only way to reach a
potential buyer, and even then it might take a while...

Nice sales pitch, though I agree with Clem; you have to take a chance
and list the starting price a bit lower than the minimum you're willing
    to accept for the bike.

    Thanks Clem, have revised.....
By the way, I owe you a Beer.... Pinched one of your "clemism's" for a comp

    Oh, we got spanked.........

    Anyway.

    Thanks IK.
You're right of course. I will forward the details to local VMX Queensland
club. I knew this but I think subconciously I really don't want to sell
it.... Its an absoloute hoot to ride. Amazing suspension considering its age
and enough Horsepower to satisfy most. But oh them drum brakes.... Dismall.
I honestly think they are there to pass scrutinering only. Can you tell that
I grew up with disk brakes??? ;-)

Nah, Not racing motorcycles any more. Would like to a great deal but it
justs absorbs every spare penny you have plus any spare children you may
have lying around........ And then some. Have a T500 that I hope to finish
this year and take very low key racing. Maybe.

Team BatFastard competed out at Dalby last week in the Dalby Big Air Hang
gliding comp. Last comp. of the season. I was handed a flying lesson. Thats
what happens when a ex World Champion (Ricky Duncan), Australia's current
no.2 ranked pilot (Dave Seib) and Australia's best aerobatic pilot (Adam
Parer) come out "Just for a look... Nothing serious... just fun, might have
    a fly...... "
Yeah sure..... ;-) Then they preceded to set up brand new prototype Airborne
    C4 gliders.......
Sure was a good comp 'though.

Team BatFastard was a hit 'though. Standby for further results at the first
comp of the new season (canungra classic) in late September..!!

    Excellent.

For every 20 irritable wankers who come on here to try to flog off an
overpriced shitheap, then proceed to hurl inept abuse when deservedly
lampooned, one apparent mad cahn has to come along...

Stick around, dude, and I'm not sure if I want to wish you luck in
selling the Husky; you know you'll be kicking yourself that you didn't
try harder to find those two grand from somewhere else if you do sell it. :)
