Selling the Blade

I rode the new Blade today, it's far to quick for my liking,
I can only get up to 8k rpm and its trying to chuck me off
the back, let alone anywhere near 13k at the red line.

Bike mag reckons its the mutts nuts with regard to the
litre bikes and I for sure will get nowhere near to what
the bike can do so I am going to sell it.

08 blade, black and candy red, completely standard
and done just 240 miles, I can arrange for the 600 mile
service to be done local to me free of charge.

    I reckon it's worth £8k saving some £1300 on a new one.

    Anybody interested?

This is the second time in a couple of days that I've recognised every word
in a sentence but then completely failed to understand the way in which they
were put together. Old age, I suppose.

Yup, I do admit I am a bit of a gaylord when it comes to riding this
bike, to fast, to small, to light, to much for an old man like me. Put
simply it terrifies me, and after doing 150 miles yesterday on my Sprint
ST I am well happy with this.

Going to the local Honda dealer to see what he says regarding price
for the blade this morning, you never know, someone might just get a
bargain, but not Nige at 6k.

Cane was right, nearer 7k than 8k, just back from the
local Honda dealer and they offered to purchase the bike
for £7250 which is over 2k less than new.

So I guess thats got to be about right, if anyone wants the
bike make me a sensible offer and it's yours.

Darling, I could get £7k for the old Blade and the Bird and this bike
has the added bonus that it would go with my new Shoei lid.

    What do you think?

If a dealer is offering £7250 you should (fairly obviously) be able to
get more privately. Did you negotiate or was that the first figure he
    offered?

I sort of agree, the dealer has to make a margin and have it sat
in his showroom until a punter comes along, to be honest although
it makes me smile when I am on the bike, at 6' 3" tall it's complete
pain to ride, footpegs to high etc etc etc.

Anyways. save me putting it in the national press etc if there is
    anyone here with £7600 it's there's.

As the man said, dealer offer is low, so lets not be greedy.
