has a pretty much flat FT, containing all frequencies; the thing that was
belted will resonate in its eigenmodes of oscillation - damping out the non
resonant frequencies.

This tells a lot about the thing being belted...

Me neither, really.

A nice rumble, yes. A decent roar when wide flat open, sure.
