What is it with the weather in Malaysia? It's like the F1 all over again!

Nah, that ebay group. Anyway, the race started late, so apparently the BBC underlined their overwhelming commitment to showing races by switching to BBC2 10 laps in so they could show football on BBC1. Grr.
I like Stavros. The only thing wrong with the BBC's team is Charlie fucking Cox and I can tune him out at will.
Am I the only one that's not getting the problem here? If the coverage is seemless, and you just have to change channel, what's the problem? Presumably the beeb are making a call on which schedule they would rather **** with, given the programme was going to overrun significantly, and with less primetime content during the day I guess BBC2 will always take the hit. It fucked up my PVR recording, but that would have happened anyway, as it would have stopped at the scheduled end time for the prog, no sweat, I just watched the last 10 laps on the lunchtime re-run.
Apparently a repeat of a football match takes precedence over live coverage of a bike race. That's commitment for you. 8am on a Sunday is hardly what I'd call primetime. My PVR can adjust automatically for programmes that start late or run into extra time. It can't adjust automatically for programmes that switch channel without notice. To add insult to injury, the BBC2 coverage then "ran out of time" before they'd had a chance to interview any of the riders.
They ran out of time because they didn't want a load of complaints from parents having their Sunday morning lie in disturbed.
I doubt it does, but given they couldn't precisely tell how long the race would go on for, there's a reasonable chance they would have had an "odd" amount of time to fill after it finished, in which they may not have been able to fit something appropriate, and it may have ended up fucking up the schedules throughout the morning No, but as mentioned above, a live show which overruns can present headaches for quite some time afterwards, and if there are other shows later in the morning which also run live (I don't know if they are live or not), then switching channels at the scheduled end time avoids large headache. I don't know what time it actually finished, but again, this could well be to exploit a chance to get back to the schedule as advertised.
So what, the fucking wankers will move heaven & coronation street for fucking football. I used to love football, but the kind of filth it encourages to 'follow' it nowadays is getting too middle class. I mean, some cuntrag scrote from a council estate you might expect to be yelling & shouting the odds in a public environment, but it's just not right when you get middle aged tree huggers yelling at each other at fucking Center Parcs ffs. I told a few to shut up or the husband would get some today. I had to leave the sport area due to the two or three hundred cunts. These where the womon too. Grrrr
Heh. What were you saying about the Beeb's commitment to showing all of MotoGP the other weekend? ;-)
That it had, thus far, been quite good. Of course, it's unusual for me to be up at sparrowfart on a Sunday watching races anyway. The 125s/250s got me through an overtime stint.
