Try verio.co.uk. I've no idea what the low-end SME hosting is actually
like, or what restrictions they have in place, but I know how their
parent company (NTTEO) works and they don't insist on being
authoritative for DNS, let alone managing the domain itself.

  4. If i switch providers it means using a BT exchange , from
conversations with my neighbours they are lucky to get 4 meg which is
far too slow when your trying to pull large cad files down , some
    also limit e mail size

  5. Because VM in thier wisdom are outscourceing its e mail platform and
several of the file extensions i now use will no longer be accepted
    even if zipped

You could talk to the guys at the ISP I've been using for years:

    http://www.aaisp.net.uk/

They're quite business-oriented and aren't cheap, but the service is
very good (barring BT "issues"). And the tech support guys *do* know
what they're talking about instead of reading off a script.

Don't email the files then, upload them to pwp and email the link.
Hope they are old enough to be screwed

Which bit of VM did you miss ?
He will be on proper cable, at proper speeds.

My (upto)10Mb line runs at 8-10Mb.
    They also do a 20Mb and 50Mb.

A proper tineternet cable, not a piece of copper
Yer, like if not next to the exchange, tough !

Email the ones you have a problem with. I'll see if I can find out if it
    is really hard and fast.
