....for the removal of shameful plugs.

Got the Fazer out today having had the itch to go for a ride for the last
few days, but having not fancied the cold too much.

Not quite a fairweather rider yet, but I'm getting there.

I've felt before that this particular Fazer, whilst good on fuel compared to
the last one wasn't breathing so well at higher revs and put this down to
the combo of Micron stainless downpipes and the standard can.

I couldn't get on with the din of the Micron can that came with it, hence
why I put it back to standard.

So anyway, having taken it up to my friends workshop and given the chain a
proper scrub down and regrease, I went on my merry way only to notice it was
    misfiring on and off.

Resigned to a possible carb strip down, I thought it was worth changing the
plugs as well, so got a set on the way back and fitted them when I got home.

'At least I can get at everything without having to strip the bike right
down', was the main thought I consoled myself with.

Further investigation revealed that three out of four plugs were barely hand
    tight.

All four, whilst the tips were clean, looked ancient and manky.

Fitted the new plugs then started it, and an instant improvement was noticed
straightaway... and by that, not just the lack of missing, but the eagerness
with which it revved compared to before the main misfire reared its head
    today.

Took it out for a run, and it's like a new bike... shedloads more go in the
    upper rev range.

    I are well impressed. :)

I assumed this was a commercial for the new series of Shameless about to be
    aired on Ch4 at 22.00.

I'm going to watch that... in the hope they've come up with a bit more
originality than the last couple of series.

Hmmm... the original series was believable - tonights episode was a bit far
fetched in places to say the least.

Kind of spoils it for me at least, although it's still worth watching.

Part two on E4 being nothing short of an implied shagfest
