What? Pay somebody?

I had a mate who was nominated for an Australian Design Award. They tried to
squeeze him for a $2000 ddonation to the Award Council. He said no. He did
not get the award. Just made me a little more cynical.

Err no. I don't think so.

You have to show fairly thoroughly the exact source of the beans and
basically prove you aren't ripping the natives blind (as per the normal
western methodology in the third world)

The PICA[1] awards have many categories that no one enters, therefore I
can happily say that Lasting Impressions[2] has a number of PICA awards,
all the result of diligent research and strategic application!

Apparently ebay have a thing about selling body parts. Some bike club
was trying to auction their president's (used) gallstones for charity.
