The SRAD I had (GSXR750WW) turned in a little slower than the K1 but
felt more stable in corners, more weight over the front I think.
Obviously it didn't accelerate the same, but then it had 30bhp less.

Oddly, the K8 Thou feels to me more like the SRAD 750 to ride, but I
think that's because I've come more recently from a 10R.

How do you reckon those skillful fellows learn their skills? Some people
will try, most of them will produce (at great expense) something hideous,
but some may have enough of a flair for it to go off and do better next
    time.

Other than trying to tap in to the "not really into Pokémon" meme, which
garners such approval round here, I'm struggling to see what your objection
is, unless you think that the SRAD is a thing of such beauty that it should
forever remain untouched by specials builders.

    Shouldn't be a problem.

How many times did the bike actually make it to the end before blowing
    up or being lobbed?

Hehehe - we could make it the UKRM trackbike where everyone owns a share :)
It will have a full trailer setup, too :)

Only of the "sorry son, but 130dB is really *too* loud for a 98dB
day". Well, sometimes they take a closer look if your car looks rather
sheddy (now how would I know that?) but on those tracks where they
sticker the car they also tend to mark the sticker(s) to show that
they checked that you don't upset the council too much.

OK, so maybe scrutineering was overdescribing the process.

But at least for the oil-cooled gixxers, most of the difference in weight between the 750 and the 1100
was made up of engine and exhaust. So not much point unless you had a 750 with a duff engine.
If you had an 1100 you might as well just lose ~15kg (and derestrict it) by swapping the exhaust.

Good god man you can hardly fit a CBR400 engine in one of those. Have you
ever tried to change the plugs on on of them. Jesus! Its a tight fit.

No its much more of a short sharp F it, than long drawn out animal noises.

She does look like a tight fit though. Do you think they named the band
after that attribute? Also why were "Wizard" called that? Was it the
    sleeve like nature?

It's officially "transcontinental". More of it is in Asia than Europe,
so I guess Asia should take precedence if pushed.

Of course, Turkey will soon be in the EU but I guess that's a different
    matter completely.

If you break down in Turkey, just push it to davethedave's place and
    fly home.

Probably because the locals would have the wheels off the breakdown
truck before it coud get to you.)

When I was last in Turkey, the local taxis were, to a one, pretty
beaten up old Fiats, Renaults and the like. But they nearly all had
really OTT alloys on them. Strange.

Still, as long as they took five pretty wrecked blokes back "home" we
    didn't much care.
