Ah. I am aware of the later, tamed version of the KHI chassis. Quite
what the original was like, I dread to think.

Understood. 220kph on the Wing required two lanes of Autoroute.
A1 southbound, near Parc Asterix, where the TGV runs alongside - a
nice long gentle descent.

Ah - the Hay to Kington section of Wessie's May day run. I suspect that
if there had been more traffic you would have left me behind. I'm not
very good at cut and thrust overtaking - too much riding against the
clock for years with the certain knowledge of not only no vehicles
coming the other way, but none travelling in the same direction either,

Fair point - but more a case of the latter. The Voxan does handle
surprisingly well for what looks like a semi-cruiser, even though for
that run it still had 'your' Macadam 90x's on ;-)

I was wondering if that was real or speedo, but to be honest whatever it
is, I wouldn't want to better it on the Sportster.

 

I've no issue with the noise - it was the "all show and no go" that
surprised me.

Dunno - early Sept. Bear in mind that the Wing's past its prime.

Well the speedo matches (give or take 1 or 2 mph) the GPS up to around
170kph, but I didn't have a GPS back then.
