Ok (and thanks for the timeline etc).
Sorry as well Mark as I didn't realise we had folk from outside the UK
here (well except a few ex-pats in Europe maybe).

Yes, as Ben kindly points out later I was talking about our restricted
licence riders (like our daughter) and where this '33bhp' is measured.
So, if it says somewhere that the 'bike' produces (say) 45hp it should
also specify if that is measured at the engine or back wheel? (Sorry,
performance stuff has not previously been of interest to me).

    All the best ..

I was watching a film (Engish one), which contained a character that was
supposed to be Spanish. During the film, this character said to another
something like "Don't get a wasp in your head". In English we have the
idiom "a bee in your bonnet", so I wondered if it was a literal
translation of one the equivalent Spanish idiom.

"El señor Fawlty has an abeja in the bonet"? ;-)
Understood what bee in bonet is. No, there is no such idiom in spanish. The
closest thing is "tener la mosca detrás de la oreja" (have a fly behind the
ear) but it has a different meaning (suspect something you don't like is
    happening).
