    Hi All,

I've just purchased a 1986 450 Nighthawk (first bike). She runs very
well Except for two things, firstly, the less noticable, is a popping
sound that happens every now and then for no particular reason, its
almost like a back-fire, i'm not sure what could be causing this, if
any one has some ideas, they would be very much apreciated... The
other issue is the shifting, if i shift from 1st to 2nd it seems to be
ok, but from 2nd on up i have a hard time shifting correctly, i have
to give it two or three goes on the pedal before it shifts up, it
justr doesn't seem to take, no matter how hard i push up... shifting
    down is not a problem.

If anyone can help me out with anything it would be very much
apreciated. Thank you kindly, and in advance.
