Quite a neat solution IMO. Very F1-like.

    Bwaaaaa Haaa Haaa Haaaaaaaaaaa.

Debrets rules of social conduct are not recognised here.
Nor are crust-less cucumber sandwiches served with tea.

The ask a stupid question rule often applies.

  12. Without reading the rest of the thread, I'll bet the NAHAY response is
played, and deservedly so. Otoh, you aren't NAH, so you should be well
used to rude responses and accordingly should GFY.

hey! Go **** yourself. I like crustless cucumber sandwiches served
    with tea[1].

[1] admitedly, has to be tea made with filtered water here, as London
water is far to hard to make decent tea straight out of the tap.

We *might* be able to do salmon....

But were not cutting off the crusts.

We use mineral water for the tea and coffee. If you use tap water it looks
    cloudier than Apple's new offering.
    19 litres every 3 days. :(
    Delivered to the door. :)

Dunno what you're using, but most of the bottled stuff we've used
(ISTR much of it was Nestlé branded) in Turkey wasn't 'mineral' water
per se, just good water. Real mineral water, i.e. with a high mineral
content, will often be worse than tap water for tea making.
When sailing we used to get through about four-six large bottles a
day, so ten litres or so, for the two of us. Plus beer, of course;-)

It is natural spring water that comes out of the side of a mountain and
is slapped in bottles. Even the Nestlé offerings. None of this coca cola
con business. ;) I seriously think that this is because it's more
profitable to bottle it from a natural source than purify and bottle.
If the financial equation swings a bit differently then........
You do tend to get de-hydrated on a boat though. The sweat just
disappears before you realise you are sweating. The heat and the wind
conspire against you. The beer is useful for re-hydration. :)
I have an urge to re-hydrate with a pint of Speckled Hen though. :(

  20. It surprises people how much water they use on a daily basis, not just
for drinking. Get in a boat situation, caravan or motor home and you
know you have to be conscious of the water you use.

Boating in hot weather with a constant wind over you drying off the
sweat or SCUBA diving where you dehydrate through breathing dry air are
both situations where you have to drink lots of fluid.

The villa I had in Spain had a big house water tank before we were
connected to the mains. Ged knows where the water went.
