That would be an unworthy end to a noteworthy career - to be forced into
retirement is not good. It should have had a different ending, provided this
is really the end (enough of them come back!).

Oh, and yes, this is a top 10 finisher that didn't secure a ride for the
next season. Italian, too. For obvious reasons, though, let's keep that in
mind when we have another discussion along those lines a few years down the
    line. :)

Who'll take over the drama queen role? Gibernau already did so this year, it
would seem, let's see if he keeps it up so we don't miss Biaggi's
    excuse-making too much...

The odd thing is this season, for the longest time, Biaggi was actually
quite low key about the team and the bike... but then all of a sudden the
blow-up in the last few couple of races. Nevertheless, I seem to remember he
was far more "outspoken" while on the Yamaha...

  3. Damn those manipulative, misleading Italians. We are so fortunate that the
press in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave can be counted on to
    be comprehensive, honest, and objective.

I referred to a Dennis Noyes article. His article was tongue in cheek, but
obviously he believes some of it.

  5. I haven't picked up a Road Racing World in a while, but John Ulrich used to
have a decidedly anti-AMA slant. Not that that is in the same league as
manufacturing rumor, but when you read his stuff you knew there was a bias
    against the AMA.

    Carl Sundquist mentions:
I stopped reading John's World a long time ago but he is now
an AMA Director. That is he's on the board of directors. Directors
    are elected by the members.

    Go fast. Take chances.
