Ok, I got the phone call I have been hoping for....
    a j.o.b. offer.
Of course now that I am going to be employed again, the first thing I did
was go bike shopping, but so far, only in my mind.
Last Spring before I was so unjustly blowed out of my job, I was on the
verge of hopping on something newish or actually new and riding off into the
sunset, with a giant smile on my face.
Now those plans can be re-implemented, so in a couple of months you will be
    seeing those annoying posts again.
"Can't make up my mind" " I like them all" and so on.
    So...
Just tell me to shut and get an RC51, OK?

  2. Nah, Tuono. You still have the insane V-twin litrebike, superstable
fast overkill, but comfortable seating position and that nice
    Ey-talian style.

  3. Congratulations Jim!
Of course. I had a list of things I to buy or have done "as soon as
I'm employed again", and after a month of employment I haven't done any
of them yet! :) Just enjoying watching my checking account recover.

    Enjoy bike shopping!

    Congratulations, Jim! :)
Shut up and get the RC51 already! (but be prepared for the same crappy
range you get on your VTR)

Nice bike (I've got one). '04 Nicky Hayden with the white number
plate looks nice. Join www.rc51.org (ROGUE) and be lost in RC-51
    heaven forever...

RC-51, best Japanese V-Twin sportbike ever (and probably forever)
    made.

I got the opportunity to ride one over a long weekend last year when my VTR
got sick and they offered me a used one for a loaner.

It was like a VTR , only grown up. Still had that silly fuel range but who
cares. I think it would make a nice table mate for the VTR, you know?

  7. Isn't the RC51 a tweaked VTR? Same basic bike, just more track oriented?

No. I think the two bikes share only a couple of OEM parts (and
probably stuff like grips, turn signals, or a few fasteners). Besides
being V-twins, having side-mounted radiators, and getting 100 miles on
a tank of gas -- they are completely different bikes.

Saying the RC-51 is a VTR but "just more track oriented", is like
saying the GSX-R600 is like a GSX600F, just with a couple of extra
    horsies.
