My friend Fullstate dropped a call on me saturday morning.. He was bored and
tired of watching weather develop.. We hooked up at my house about three,
damn.. I sure had a lot of "stuff" to attend to, and rounded ourselves out
of there.. First stop was Strokers, I took Fullstate into the store, first,
and kinda gave him the tour of that impressive dealership.. Introduced him
to Rick and then we listened to the band for a while.. Everyone knows that
Stroker's has live entertainment on the weekends, right.. We ate one of the
excellent hamburghers Ricks mother does, drank a coldbeer and drifted on the
road again.. Ran by Wilhoite's in Grapevine to have a coldbeer, visited with
the "yuppie" crowd for a bit and hooked up to run to the stockyards.. Had
some of the great stuffed jalapenos in Riscky's along with another coldbeer,
visited there for a bit and decided to call it a night.. When did they make
Exposition a one way? I didn't know that, but, when we tripped out of the
parking lot, I headed up Exposition toward Main, as I usually do.. Rode
right into a flashing light, held by one of the stockyard cops.. He turned
us around to ride with the flow and we bailed out of there.. Notable for the
day was the absence of the usual crowds.. Damn.. where was everybody ?
Fullstate and I enjoyed each other's company, had a kicked back ride and
thoroughly enjoyed.. I was home by 10 and watched the evening news..
Totally relaxed.. Can't bitch about that, now can you ? Have a good one..

Careful, now, Bill. We don't want to give all the others the wrong
impression. Bill racked up 2.5 beers and I had a whopping total of 2
beers over about a 6 hr period. Every time we got somewhere we hung
out for a minimum of about an hour. So there was far more hanging and
    BS'ing than riding.

But yes, we had a good time and it wasn't a bad day for it.

BTW - anyone hear about an accident on 121? They shut the highway
down in one direction, and all but one lane of it in the other
direction. I am guessing it was some type of fatality, but since I
didn't catch the news I didn't get to hear anything about it.

Helluva good opportunity to do the "white line" thing, wasn't it ? I'm not
sure how far we rode that line, but it seemed like a very long way....
Without incident, I might add.. Only one turkey in a white suv, seemed to
try to cut me off.. What a jerk.. I finally swapped sides and slammed around
him so fast, it completely un-nerved him.. LOL.. course I gave him a good
taste of those loud assed Vance and Hines when I railed him.. Later at a red
light, he wouldn't even look at us sitting next to him.... Good ride
Fullstate, next time I will try to keep up...

Actually, since I was a bit behind you I got to observe this a bit
better. He wasn't trying to cut you off, which is what I thought at
    first, too.

It turns out he wasn't paying attention to driving!!! Looked like he
was trying to dig something off the floorboard. I mean, here we are
in bumper-to-bumper-stop-and-go traffic and this moron is still
rolling and not even watching what the hell is going on around him.
    Typical of a cager.

    Keep up? sheeeit. LOL
