should I buy?

    i saw this 1969 yamaha 250 for sale the other day. I got to ride it a
    little and it runs pretty well but has some other issues like clutch and a
    gas leak (probably just a hose). They were asking 400 dollars. Should I
    consider buying this as a slight fixer-upper and get me a couple miles to
    work bike or is that a stupid idea and there are better cheap options out
    there?

    Parts may be a problem. Check the tank for rusted through spots weeping
    fuel.

    $400 should find you something a lot newer if you look around.

    Keep looking. My experience is minor problems are seldom the easy fix.
    Also I think that parts are going to be hard to come by for a 69 model.
