  1. Did anyone see the first in the above short series on More 4 last night?

The format is Dr Pamela Connolly (nee Stephenson) interviewing a
"celebrity" but with the good doctor in her real life role as a
psychologist. Last night was Sharon Osbourne - I hadn't heard anything
about Mrs Osbourne other than to know she's married to Ozzy and had a
couple of kids (and all that via trailers for their MTV show). I found
it quite interesting in terms of getting some insight into the person
and what had happened to them in their life. There were one or two
moments of resonance with my own feelings / experience.

While I accept it's voyeuristic it seemed to offer a view of the person
and their vulnerabilities that mainstream shows don't get to. Tonight
is Stephen Fry which should be interesting.

    Any other views?

My son was given Sharon Osbourne's Autobiography a couple of weeks ago and
lent it to me. It was more than a little bit interesting and her dad was a
more than a little ****. A great big one in fact and he caused her a lot of
grief. She did well to deal with everything she'd had thrown at and taken
    off her I'd say.
    Bugger, that's another I missed.

    I just found this programme and by **** she's a condescending **** isn't
she? I'm surprised Stephen Fry hasn't either got up and walked out, or bitch
    slapped the twat.

I can imagine them thinking of the title first and liking it so much
they decided to build a programme around it.

GungaDan () gurgled happily, sounding much like they
    were saying :
It's just Radio 4's long-running "In the Psychiatrist's Chair", but with
    pictures.

  8. I read a review which gave away the "big" point of the Fry
interview long before it aired. How did it come through on-air?
Apparently the interviews are cut down from an original 2-1/2 hours to
avoid anything too close to the bone.

  9. Next Wednesday at 21.00 on More 4. Other episodes follow at weekly
intervals. The Sharon Osbourne one was on last night.

The Fry episode is interesting if only for the look of sheer horror on
Pamela's face about Fry's reaction to a particular episode in his life.
