Come to think of it, Dan may have been there, at least for part of the
run. He took so long to get to Buckingham you went back to see if he'd
    gone ditch surfing.

You'll be pleased to hear I'm just finalising the contents of my tank
bag with a view to doing exactly that!

I assumed that all cat-equipped vehicles have Fi - summat to do with CO
sensors and feedback loops. Wrong evidently.

I seem to have packed enough socks to sink a battleship.

If you'll pardon the rather mixed metaphor.

I seem to have mainly empty space. the plan is to stop one the way
    back and fill it.

  10. And everyone with a cunting brain knows that the FOF is the superior
    UKRM ride-out.

  12. I'm tempted to give this a go, for no other reason that it will force me
to actually use my bike. I've no intention of scoring highly, just
using it as a "ooh I'll go there today" type motivator.

I'm slightly worried that after reading a lot of Dodger prose on the RBR
that you only scored 685 last year though.

Seems like you could be right. I had a look through the highway code
and my "Learn to Ride" book and found nothing about moving over to the
left on roundabouts. I do seem to remember doing this under instruction
my CBT and on my DAS (different school) and on my test without mention.

Anyway, I'm keeping more to the centre (i.e. left of centre as opposed
to 1m from the kerb), makes like much easier and already less antics
    from drivers.

Nope I might be talking bollocks for roundabouts. When stopping at a
junction, looks like you get approx 1m from the side you turning. When
moving and taking a left, then move to the left of the road, but not so
close as to make drivers think you're stopping. Roundabouts nothing
mentioned about road position except lanes.

Live 'n' learn eh? Anyway, he still should have bloody well looked
front. He just said he was only looking to the right as he approached.
He was a truck driver as well, I glad he was only in a car.

Well it's not a right turn and it's not going straight on, so if it's not a
    left turn what is it?
    So you say.
I don't see much (if any) difference, but either way, I don't go near the
curb side of a lane if I'm turnng left off the road I'm on.

Whereas I just packed one fresh pair, which I didn't even wear in the
    end.

It must be admitted that the pair I took off on Sunday night, after
approx 28 hours over 3 days in my bike boots, were a little ripe.
