I made the mistake of browsing it whilst here in the CharlesV Ressources
Centre. The bint at the desk is only ten feet behind my left shoulder.

I'm sceptical. The Haifa bombers head looks pretty intact. Seems quite
likely that a decent size explosion would fragment it.

 

It's the shaped charge effect, innit. Belt of explosives, kaboom,
shock waves travel up (and down) the body from origin, until they
reach a weak point - this being the neck. Shock waves (we're talking
serious energy here) cause head to detach and fly several hundred
yards; AIUI it's fairly common with suicide bombers to find the head
mostly intact, some distance away.

 

I bow to your superior knowledge [1]. Actually I can't remember the
source, but I'm sure I read it here first, I should have pointed that
out. It seems feasible to me, though.

That could really be misinterpreted, you know.

 

I was shown that today. I'm quite a hardy soul, but the video of the
bloke being beheaded made me feel physically sick.

The video of the bloke topping himself didn't bother me at all.

Nope, they're what's happening in the real world. amazing how much is

On a lighter note somewhere on the site there's what appears to Anthea
Turner, you know usual is the world a lovely place happy happy happy. She
sitting on the drop down platform of a truck and *surprise* a motocross bike
speeds out.

Trouble is there must have been a build up of petrol or similar fumes in the
truck...Prolly another ginge though :-(

Bear left a note on my windscreen which said:

For some reason that last bit reminded me of Winnie the Pooh.

 

It was supposed to be a stunt, with a small explosion
as the bike jumped out the back. Unfortunately the
pyrotechnics were a bit bigger than planned, and she
sat a little bit closer than she should have.
