Unfortunately they don't sell those in basic black. I would like one,
but I hesitate at the camo thing.

  3. I have an idea that when they came out here first, in the early 1970's, they
    came out in black only.

    Interesting
Seems anyone who has one is happy with it.
I'm leaning. I'll probably have one in the garage. Anyone know anyone
who would like a nice Cherokee - 97, the good one?

There is any number of black models, it's just my preference leans to
off road, and those are the camo models. I guess dust and mud wouldn't
show as much as on black, but my preference would be dull brown or
something. We'll see though - a camo might look OK beside my nice red
    RT in the garage.

  6. 97 is a bit young for me
if you have a nice 85 model and as long as her father doesn't find out

  7. C'mon, admit it, it's that .50 calibre machine gun mount masquerading as
a spotlight that's really sparked your interest.

I think a small remote operated photon cannon would be better, but yes
the spottie has something going for it. I have a rather large shifting
spanner that ought to be able to take care of it though.

Yes, there is a home-coming visit to Armidale planned for Xmas. I
can't bring myself to trade the RT, so the Jeep might be a clean skin
sale, maybe at the dealership in Tamworth.
New bike buying - exciting times...

That doesn't seem like an insurmountable obstacle...

Sequoyah would have been more accurate. But not as funny.

My wife Helen already has a 2005 Cherokee Renegade CRD. I thought that was
    the good one.

Ah, I've found the only one in the world who likes camo. I will how it
to you when I get it. I expect to see a significant gleam of
    appreciation in your eyes.

As an old B Western buff, I know a thing or two about good and bad
Indians. Neither of the dropped names qualify as the latter. I have
    spoken.

It's the long stroke lazy straight 6 hemi that people class as the
good one. Torque of a diesel and good power on the highway- and not
    too bad on fuel consumption.

    Army Jerk
A term used in garrison towns (Townsville, Wagga Wagga etc) that
became fashionable long after our time in the circus.
