I'm pretty sure that's also the same majority of riders that wobbles
about for approximately 1500 miles/year and only when there are no
    clouds to be seen anywhere.

I don't think Lozzo falls into that category, Mark Olson probably
doesn't either and so do a few others on here who most likely would
order their new "main bike" with ABS if it was available.

Please note that I'm not saying that there aren't riders out there who
clearly don't need ABS, but for those of us who do a lot of miles in all
sorts of weather, ABS can be a Good Thing.

I don't mind saying, it was ?5443 OTR. That's with the panniers, screen
    and with ABS.

  11. Ah, the penny drops! I was thinking tonight[1], as I walked home,
that I hadn't seen any x9 plates yet, and wondered when the changeover
    date was.

[1] Prompted by my seeing a few BT57 number plates lately; IIRC one was
BT57 GUD -- obviously has Bridgestones on his bikes!

Hmm if Kwakazilla had ABS you might have missed the telepraph pole.

Not the case. I didn't lock the front up, the bike braked well enough
to rotate round the front axle, according to the marshal I spoke to.
