Well, if I had one I could change it.

After selling the Sportster a few weeks back, it appears that the Zed
has reached reserve on ebay too. Looks like by the weekend I'll only
    have BMWs in the garage.

You wear your age very well, I never realised you were over sixty.

Says the man with the Corvette...

I suppose it is rather concerning that I sold my tuned LC to buy my
first R80 at 21, and by 24 I'd had a K and was on to my second R80.

Ah, but I haven't got *only* Corvettes.
That is a bit worrying, yes. I got my R65 when I was 17, but kept my
RD, so that's ok. Although I did sell my Lotus when I was 23ish to by
an R80/GS. But the GS always was a cool bike, so that's ok too.

It's been 18 years since my last BMW.

    It's been over 20 years since I last bought a BMW... [1]

Ah, well if that makes a difference, I've never bought a Corvette[1].
Therefore I must still be young.

[1] My previous boss bought it for me to say thanks for doing the Brum
commute for a couple of years.

Shit I have been commuting in to brum for 34 years and got bugger all
for it. Admittedly its only 31 miles each way.

Who the hell did you work for who were that kind.. I want to work for
them. To be honest most places are better than where I work at the
    moment!

100 each way for me, made for quite a long day (6.30 - 20.30ish).
It was a small consultancy firm. Long gone now, the boss buggered off
    to Oz.

It was a long commute and they bought you a totally unsuitable vehicle
    for that commute.

Are you sure it was a reward and not a hint?

Err no, they bought a 2.5 V6 Mondeo Ghia for the commute.
