    first thoughts...

ring a ding ding ding ding.

tis lovely. needs matching tyres and the exhausts gaskets replacing
but other than that. spot on.

takes a bit of getting used to and I don't think I've been up and down
a set of gears since I last had a two stroke.

ring a ding ding ding ding.

    Wahey! Top stuff, that LCist.
I had a bit of that just now, having given the CBX its obligatory run
round the block[1]. CBXs do not pull from 2k like I expected it to.

That CB13 has made my left foot even lazier than it was.

[1] First one was aborted due to running rough and coughing to a halt
at the lights. 18.35 litres (in a 20l tank) of unleaded sorted that
problem out. By 'eck, them brakes are crap.

Fine - now put some Castrol R40 in the fuel for the authentic scent.

I'm sure you know you can't mix Castrol R with other stuff, & therefore
need to find out what's in it.

It hasn't got old style Castrol R in it - I'm pretty sure there's some
Castrol semi synth racing oil like A747 with a castor base in there,
cos it smells all Castrol R when it's running but the guy said it was a
    synth oil he was using.

I think Adie needs to give the guy a call and ask him to read out to
her what's on the bottle he was using.

Didn't think you could get that these days? Could be B353 if it's not
    R40.
Definitely. If it is B353, you can't even mix it with other castor
    based oils.

He's put a small sticker stating 'Castrol Racing 2 Stroke' on the
plastic folder containing the documents but that's not very specific
    is it?

We did ask what he'd put in it but he was a bit vague so the best hope
is that he's got another bottle of whatever it is for his other LC.

A747 is freely available if you want it. My mate Jamie uses it in his
    TZR250 race bike.

email received and he says TTS which is available from my local
halfrauds. I'll pop in this week and buy some and see if that offer
    for screwdrivers includes this.

    Nice one.

I met Krusty, Charlene and Brownz at Avebury on Weds evening. On the
way there, as I hurtled across the downs, I breathed in and thought
"there's a 2-stroke ahead on me somewher". Sure enough, a mile or two
later I over-took a beautiful white thing that I initially thought was
    an Aprilia RS250.

But, when he turned up at the pub, it turned out to be an RGV250 with
a jap import body kit on it. It was *fabulous*.

And then a GT250 turned up, then an RD, then another RGV.

I think I may need to own a two stroke for a while...

    CIHAGM?

I nearly bought one, but after finding out how quickly it exceeded the
speed limit down the A59, bought the Kwak 750 instead...and got points
    on my licence for speeding.
