Sold the GS, for some reason I just didn't like it. I must be difficult or something, the world and his dog seem to like GS's, years ago the world and his dog raved about GPZ900R's too and I never got on with them either, preferring the disliked GPZ1000RX. Thing is the GS engine is near identical to the BoxerCups and I love that bike.... anyway onwards and upwards, a replacement has been sourced for Sunday -- Steve Parry BMW R80RS, 03 BMW R1100S Boxercup, 07 BMW K1200GT SE 00 BMW R1150GS [sold replacement due] , 87 Yamaha FS1, Sukida SK90PY, 91 Kawasaki AR50, BMW 330Ci www.gwynfryn.co.uk
I'm in a similar position with the Bumblebus. I'm not convinced it will be a long term relationship, especially as every time I get back on the R80 the world seems like a nicer place. The fact that I'm likely to have spent more on parts and servicing in 6 months on the new one than I've spent in 20 years on the old one isn't helping either. Perhaps I should have bought an R1150RT. Perhaps I should have kept the Kawasaki. Perhaps I should simply have stuck with the 2 SOBoxers. I'll run it until next spring at least and see if it grows on me.
