Decided I needed something more practical for my occasional commute, so
picked this up off ebay: 110530102606

I chased another one last week off ebay, no luggage, bald front tyre and
a fair few scrapes on the tank, 24k on the clock, that went for just
under 1500 so I reckon with all the luggage and lower mileage I've done
    ok.

They seem to be fairly sought after, very few for sale either on ebay,
biketrader or MCN. There's one on there now with 44k, with only a top
    box for the same price.

Only 80 quid to insure fully comp, same price as my DT50 about 20 years
    ago.

Looks nice, the panniers might make it a tad wide for commuting but
    that depends on your route.
The only downside is that Bournemouth can be a bit of a bugger to
get to when you collect it. Depends where you live though, its
agricultural machinery in the road most of the way from here.

Doesn't seem bad as it's a dealer price. The luggae alone would probably
    get £250 on Ebay.

Amused by the use of beautiful in the description.

He uses the phrase "may polish out" so is probably a UKRM lurker.

Only if you live in hicksville. Apart from a couple of miles either end, I
could go via motorway class roads for the 170 miles.

I've always thought the 900 a really nice looking bike. Richard A seems to
be happy with his long termer. That's "nearly new" mileage.

Doubt the panniers will be used for the commute, so width not an issue
as it'll just be the topbox in use.

I'm paying for it to be delivered, should arrive in the next couple of
    days.

Aye, I'm working at a clients in London today and my contact here also
has a 900, just been for a look at lunch - much higher mileage but it's
stood up to it reasonably well.

If anybody wants an unlocked Divvy 900 that's parked up most days in
    London.....

I've not really got over the surprise of luggage prices on ebay, there
was a 900 Givi rack on last week that went for only a couple of quid
less than a new one, and they're about 90 quid ffs, then you have to add
the box. Baglux and Givi seem to be conspiring to make their products
the same price - but with this bike I get both. According to the
dealer[1] they've regularly MOTd and serviced this bike and when the
owner decided to get rid they had it off him pretty quickly, a couple of
days later his wife turned up with all the luggage and just handed it
    over :-o
    Heh

Good bikes, not as nice as the F though :)

Low mileage, so you have many many many miles left in it.

Nice one. Shame about the colour. I rode RichardA's one on a CIHAGM,
and I liked it. I didn't like it more than my FJ1200, which is a
similar, though different shite old tourer ..
