  1. Black it is, very, very black[1] with shiny bits.

I am in for a quick cuppa and an even quicker quick adjust of the
controls and then I am going out to check the tank range.

I have learnt something already about it: don't attempt to adjust the
gear level while the pipes are still hot.

[1] Black enough to help with my MiB application, except for the gay
blue anodised thing that does kph to real world measuring systems
    conversion.

    Ooh, suits you, sir.

So, does that mean you've got a fleet now?

Oh does it, you should have seen how fucking good I looked in the co-op
window as I went past, in a high gear at low speed under power.
It seems so and half of it is actually running.

You are just jealous cos I have a bike that looks the business just
sitting there in the one true colour and only needs the addition of me
to make it look too fucking awesome for words.

Looks good, very low seat. Pillion pad looks a bit small though.

    I might as well be.

I just had this horrible thought. I have gone and bought me a cruiser
as my 'something for the weekend' and because I have done that, now I
won't have any mates who will talk to me so I haven't got anywhere to go
    at the weekend. Bummer.

Snot an ACE see, if it were one of them it would be the crap that Lozzo
imagines it to be. Although, I have to say it, the 500 VT still looks
the best of the bunch in my eyes.

I'll say. Lower than a low thing it is, I can get me feet down *and*
bend me legs, which is novel. And something on the left hand side which
makes really pretty sparks for only a very few degrees of lean, hardly
more than a bit of new owner enthusiasm really. It is going to be like
a mobile angle grinder once I get familiar with it.

It is. One of the things Mr Honda did with the VT range is make very
short bikes for their style. He saved an inch or two mainly under the
pillion's bum. But this is not an issue for me, as long as there is
room to bungee a bag of shopping I am happy.
