Holeshot have a good reputation and Suzuki engines are pretty bullet
proof. I enjoyed my SV and with a bit of punch it'd be a lot of fun.
Have to get a twin Renegade underseat exhaust conversion as well.

In fact I've just noticed that Renegade do a twin exhaust setup for
the GSXR. That may have to go on my bike.

I think one of the worst looking underseat exhausts is the one on the
999 Ducati and it's baby brother the 749. The original 916/748 pipes
were a work of art, the only other ones I've liked are on the MV and I
think we all know who to thank for that effort.

    Yes.

One of the reasons I bought the CBR600RR3 was how it looked with the
    underseat exhaust.

Of course I would have preferred a genuine Ducati but I live in
Scotland[1] and like to ride my bike *to* a destination and *back* again.

[1] It rains, sometimes for minutes at a time.

Don't mince your words, boy, if you don't like the look let us know.
They keep your bollocks nice and toasty too. Although in the
unseasonally hot weather we've been getting lately it's just as well I
    don't want any more offspring.

I did, but it was a nice one. Well-styled, and good quality.

    Many are rubbish, though.
    Without a doubt.

I suppose there are birth control devices that solve that particular
problem much more effectively and cheaply.

The underseat exhaust is probably better as a solution to aerodynamics
and mass centralisation. Who was first on the market with one and what
reasons did they cite ? The Japs aren't afraid of adopting good ideas.

It's a super sports bike therefore I don't care about underseat storage.

The only time I've actually felt too hot was riding from Reading to
Edinburgh during the heatwave of 2003. Out of 390 miles only the last 10
miles in town really felt too hot. Since the temperature was about 31
degrees centigrade and I was in full protective gear I can't really
    blame the underseat exhaust.

Aesthetics, we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. I had
actually signed up for the CBR600 sport when the lorry arrived with the
new RR. Looked so much better in real life I cancelled the sport and
paid the difference for the new RR.

  11. that's what they all say.
cos it hasnt quite made it up there yet. The seat is with Lozzo to
have a nice new cover [1] and it needs cleaning and funnily enough I
    haven't quite managed that yet.

    maybe tomorrow
sort of turquoise / bottle green. but yes dark.

[1] Loz, you'll be pleased to know I got a clutch lever today.

I nicked the lever off the 9R to use on my 10R until a new one
arrived. Loz is borrowing the 9R for the eosm.

Indeed it went like a train and handled passably. Indicated 150 in
double quick time. As I currently have no garaging or workshop
something needing a little tidying wasn't handy though.
