That is all.
Carbed. It's the old shape, but first registered in 2000, so it's either an import or very unsold stock back then. I don't actually get my sticky mitts on it till Tuesday, which is bad. The good part is that I have next week off.
Still a far better looking bike than the 'melted sculpture' injected model, imho. And yeah, that must have been hanging around a showroom for ages, as the carbed models were phased out in 1998. If you need any advice, etc etc....

Well, we just did 3200 miles with Jean's. And all I had to tweak was the chain twice (ok TOG did it once and I did it in Millau) Jean's must need seeing to then, and the boiled in the Alps, she wasn't happy on the down hill hairpin when that happened
The rest of the toolkit is useless, my XJR kit did every thing nicely (ok *and* the rubber tent hammer )
Heh TOG knows all about that He did give us a little lesson in starting and how long to have full choke on for while at Chimay. December ! The nice bikes go in by then and the XJ900 comes back out to play
Oh, that reminds me: did you need the spare lever for the Ducati? ;-) (Lob it back when you've got a moment, if not)
Eek. She didn't make the mistake that Niall made of thinking that the adjuster on the lever is a hand-span adjuster, did she? Because it ain't.
Odd. The choke anomaly is a bit silly, obviously, but mine still starts very easily, whatever the weather, In winter you let it chunter away on one pot until the one that doesn't have a choke decides to wake up. Then I knock the choke back to about half-position for a minute or two. After that I can dispense with the choke entirely.
Does it? Oh. I imagine whatever price I say would elicit numerous posts telling me I'd been ripped off. I'm just saving the prospective posters undue strain on their smug glands. Think of it as a public service...
